Scavenger Hunt Sunday

My new goal for my blog is the post a couple times throughout the week. I used to participate in, "Scavenger Hunt Sunday," when Parker was little and slowly I stopped doing it. I'm a little late posting for this week, but it will be a post that I strive to do each week.

1. Walking

We are finally getting some "non-jacket" wearing weather. I enjoyed the snow, but it is nice to be able to go outdoors without spending 45 minutes getting everyone ready. Eliana enjoyed her first time sitting with Parker in the wagon. She kept trying to lay on him.

2. Yummy To My Tummy

At the park I let Eliana explore her surroundings. She was a little afraid at first and wasn't wanting to sit in the grass, but she warmed up after a few minutes.

3. Favorite Toy

I don't know if Eliana has a true favorite toy yet. I know she recognizes a lot of her toys. One item she likes to grab any time she has a chance, is my camera lens cover.

4. What I Did This Week

Parker kept asking for me to put Eliana in the "tunnel" with him when we were at the park.

5. Anything

I wanted to share this photo last week, but it ended up being a busy weekend. Eliana is just too much in the first picture! This is what she looks like when she gets angry at me. The second picture to me is absolutely precious, I never want to forget these little baby hands and feet.

Mama Memoirs: My oldest

I'm linking up with, A Sorta Fairytale for "Mama Memoirs." I love reading other mom's experiences of motherhood. I think it helps to know that your not alone going through some of the stresses, joys, frustrations and feelings that comes with being a mom.

I'm a stay-at-home mom of 3 kids. Today, I want to share about my oldest daughter. I was 19 when I had my daughter. Since her birth we have been through a lot together. Maybe another day I can go through some of that. I sometimes wonder what I did to be blessed with such an amazing daughter. When I say she is 13 going on 30, I don't mean that in a negative way. She is mature, responsible, dependable and such a great sister to her younger siblings.

I sometimes feel guilty because she does so many things to help me with her siblings. I can honestly say that I don't know what I would do with out her. She comes home from school, and sits for maybe 30 seconds before her brother is tugging on her to do this or that. I'm asking about her homework and reminding her of chores. I'm sure she has thought about what her life would be without siblings. What it would be without a 2 year old brother ripping her homework, messing up her room and waking her up at 5:30 on a Saturday morning. Or what it would be to once again have her mom to herself.

For awhile, I worried that she still wanted to be a single child, but then she told me the most touching thing. She had said that when her brother, Parker, was born that he was so beautiful and she was so happy, she cried.

Wittle People Wednesday: Crawling soon?

Linking up with Ashley Sisk for Wittle People Wednesday

I bought this bow a couple weeks ago and I finally had something that she can wear to match it. Unfortunately, Eliana has discovered how to take them off. She's good, I couldn't really take any photos of her wearing it.

She also has been starting to get on her knees more. Maybe she will be crawling soon? Who knows, I'm hoping that she stays non-mobile for a little longer.

Eliana's 6 months old!

This is such a fun age and probably my favorite. They are still not quite mobile, but are becoming a little more independent.

 Current stats:

Weight: 15lbs 6oz (25-50th percentile)
Height: 25.78" long (25-50th percentile)
Head circumference:  16.65" (25-50th percentile)
Clothing size: Wears 9mo & 6-12 month
Shoe size: size 2

At 6 months Eliana,

 ...sits perfectly without support.
...can scoot around the room while sitting. She can really get around if she is sitting on the hardwood.
...babbles, screams and laughs so much and I'm pretty sure she has said mama a couple times.
...she is at that age where Parker has fun sitting with her playing. They interact with each other and Parker will sing to her and play peek-a-boo.

photo Eliana6months2_zps3d69f357.jpg ...we have started solids again. She struggles with the taste/texture of any of the baby cereals, so we moved on to fruits. She eats solids maybe every other day usually at dinner. I think I'm going to start giving them to her at breakfast as well. She eats extremely pureed bananas and apples so far. Any sort of texture and she gags and throws up.

...no teeth yet. She might be taking after Parker and will wait until 10 months until one pops up.

..she has discovered the kitty. I feel so bad for our cat, but he has such great patience with the little one's.
...she has discovered that if you bang two toys together it makes a loud sound, and she loves it.
