Wittle People Wednesday: Parker's Wonka invitations and an update!

Can you believe it?!? Parker will be three in a little over one month!! We took the kids to the park to take some pictures. My wonderful Parker was being silly as always when he sees the camera come out. I couldn't resist sharing some of the "blooper" photos from our little session.

Just a small update on his stats! Parker had a small growth spurt length wise in the past few months. He still seems to be hovering between 26-27lbs. Crazy he has been at this weight for almost a year now!

Current stats @ 34.5 months: 

Weight: 27lbs  (5-10th percentile) 

 Height: 37" long (25-50th percentile) 

Clothing size: Wears 3T/4T

 Shoe size: size 9

I purchased the template for this invitation from this blog. When I saw the invite I HAD to have it. Within this blog post there is a button that says "buy it." Click on that button to purchase the invite. It cost $2.50 for the template. I was able to make edits to the actual invite using the free PDF software call Foxit reader. The Adobe reader wouldn't let me make any changes, so that is why I used Foxit instead. The invites were printed locally at a print shop. They did an amazing job!!

I'm seriously overly excited for this party! Willy Wonka is a show I've loved to watch for as long as I can remember. Parker now watches this movie nearly every day. He randomly sings the songs as he is playing in his room. He calls every piece of paper a "golden ticket." He is as obsessed as I am.

Finally, I was able to get a couple cute photos I could use to send with the invites!

Eliana is 9 months old!!

I'm about a week and a half late getting her monthly birthday post updated! It's here though :)

Weight: 18lbs 4oz (25-50th percentile) 

 Height:  27.25" long (25th-50th percentile) 

Clothing size: Wears 9mo & 6-12 months

 Shoe size: size 4 or 12-18 months 

At 9 months;

...stands without support

...can stand up without pulling up on furniture/toys

...she took two steps when she wasn't paying attention, but hasn't done it since so I'm not counting that. 

 

...has 6 teeth total. 4 are very visible as of this morning. 2 more are still barely poking out of the gums. (4 on top, 2 on bottom)

...because of said teeth and possibly a growth spurt, lil' miss is having some MAJOR sleep regression. She sleeps worse than when she was a newborn. It's not that she is wide awake wanting to play around. She is wanting to nurse all-night-long. Needless to say, I'm pretty exhausted.

 

...she is still the happiest baby ever!! Sure we have bouts of grumpiness, but it's amazing how this lil' miss can smile through the tears. 

...I'm almost positive she says parpar or baba for her brother. When she gets excited to play with him she babbles these sounds. 

...she is so in love with her sister and brother. She always wants to play with them. She gets excited when she sees them. 

...loves the kitty. Poor Picasso now has two sets of hands trying to pull of his tail.  

...loves to swim! We have free passes to the pool just around the corner from our house and she absolutely loves the water. 

Counting down another wonderful, wonderful month! Happy 9 months my lil' princess.

Color Me Rad Montreal 2013!!

We have been busy!! I know I have said this before, but I really thought this, "not having a car," would slow us down a little bit. We are still moving around the city all the time. Montreal is so AMAZING! So many places I want to see and visit. We can actually do things outside during the summer. I'm being told that the humid heat is still to come, but right now we are enjoying being outdoors.

Last month we decided to participate in the, "Color Me Rad," race. Originally, I had planned to participate in the Tough Mudder Run, but the cost to be in that was way more than we could afford. The nice thing about the Color Me Rad race is that kids were allowed to join at no cost!

 

The race was held at the Esplanade Financiere Sun Life. The building you see in this picture is the Montreal Tower. Something I didn't know until I started writing this post, the Montreal Tower is the tallest inclined tower in the world! The Montreal Tower is 165 meters high and sits at a 45 degree angle. Just to compare the Tower of Pisa is 56m high and only leans at a 5 degree angle. The tower  is stunning up close.  It's hard to see the angle in the picture I took because took it on the wrong side.

We had a few of our friends join us! This race is better the more people you are with and I recommend you buy lots of extra color packs. We were one of the last people to cross the finish line and we never received our free one at the end.  Plus it's fun to have "color" fights throughout the race. 

Throughout the race they had "color stations" where they would blast you with color packs. Some would be a mix of water and the color. The race was nearly sold out by the time we signed up so we have to choose the last group to go with. Next year, I'm going to sign up early and choose an earlier group. That way if we are really slow, we won't miss seeing all the color stations along the way.

I can't wait to do this race again next year!
