Almost 2...yep, it's birthday planning time!
What an amazing year it has been. I still can't believe that in a few short weeks I will have a 2 year old! I realized that I have to start shifting gears from finishing Parker and Eliana's room to planning Parker's 2nd birthday party. Here is a quick update on Parker! I know, it's been a few months since I have actually done an update post on Parker. Parker doesn't have another appointment until he's 2, but these are his current stats with me measuring him.
Parker's Stats
weight: 24 lbs
height: approx 33"
clothing size: 2T
shoe size: 6
I won a gift certificate to have some professional photos taken of the kids. Parker is a toddler and wouldn't sit for more than a half a second, but I like the ones we were able to get.
He puts a lot of these together to makes sentences. The newest one being, "I want milk, pease."
Not sure if it's because they sound funny, but he always wants to point to these on me or daddy.
So, back to his birthday party. So far I have finished his invites, and his birthday outfit...I have a long way to go!
Cute things Parker says:
This is definitely not limited to his whole vocab, but mostly the one's I think are cute or funny.
Pease (please)
aww do (thank you)
awwright (all done)
I want
milk
wa wa (water)
poop
stinky
truck
car
hugs
i ow ooo (I love you)
baby dada (baby sister)

Parker can name a lot of his body parts, but I think HIS favorites are:
eye
eye brow
armpit
elbow
chin
Not sure if it's because they sound funny, but he always wants to point to these on me or daddy.

Tutorial Tuesday: The Golden Hour
Yes, I do realize that it is Friday and not Tuesday. Anyhow, It's been a busy week and especially a busy day. The next thing is getting my toddler to take pictures. I learned one trick on getting Parker to stay in one spot for more than a minute and that was to let him play with the hose. With temps reaching 115 today, it was also the perfect activity for him to do.
When Parker would first play with the water hose or even the sprinkler, he couldn't stand the water getting in his face on or his head. That has changed!
I'm always telling Parker to wash his armpits when he is taking his shower or bath because they get stinky, lol.
I took this photo before I got smart and brought out the hose.
3rd trimester already!
I didn't realize how much actually changes in two weeks, especially when your pregnant.
How far along: 28 weeks
Weight gain: another 2lbs gain for a total of 10lbs in 28 weeks. At 30 weeks with Parker I had gained 28lbs! Though he was measuring pretty big on the ultrasounds and had a decent weight considering he was born at 35 weeks.
Movement: Today, I can tell that Eliana is sitting transverse. Her head is definitely pressing into my right ribcage and her butt in my left, with her feet kicking away down low. Ever wonder how to tell which way the baby is without an ultrasound? I believe the most popular site to teach you how to do this is spinningbabies.com. Just scroll down the page to see how you can do belly mapping.
Symptoms: Not much in the way of symptoms. I'm starting to feel a bit more run down throughout the day. When I sit in the car to long I get very uncomfortable. Contractions are still down to a minimum.
Sleep: Sleep is still great!
Best Moment this Week: Finished the mobile for Eliana this past week. Their room is coming together so cute. Still have the banner/bunting to make and finish hanging up some pictures. Since I finished all the major projects, I will be focusing on Parker's birthday party coming up.
What I am looking forward to: Ultrasound next Tuesday, Aug 14th!
