Scavenger Hunt Sunday

My new goal for my blog is the post a couple times throughout the week. I used to participate in, "Scavenger Hunt Sunday," when Parker was little and slowly I stopped doing it. I'm a little late posting for this week, but it will be a post that I strive to do each week.

1. Walking

 photo atthepark-1_zps31865339.jpg
We are finally getting some "non-jacket" wearing weather. I enjoyed the snow, but it is nice to be able to go outdoors without spending 45 minutes getting everyone ready. Eliana enjoyed her first time sitting with Parker in the wagon. She kept trying to lay on him.

2. Yummy To My Tummy

At the park I let Eliana explore her surroundings. She was a little afraid at first and wasn't wanting to sit in the grass, but she warmed up after a few minutes.

3. Favorite Toy

 photo 25weeksold2_zps2dd016c9.jpg
I don't know if Eliana has a true favorite toy yet. I know she recognizes a lot of her toys. One item she likes to grab any time she has a chance, is my camera lens cover.

4. What I Did This Week

 photo atthepark12_zps48976315.jpg
Parker kept asking for me to put Eliana in the "tunnel" with him when we were at the park.

5. Anything

I wanted to share this photo last week, but it ended up being a busy weekend. Eliana is just too much in the first picture! This is what she looks like when she gets angry at me. The second picture to me is absolutely precious, I never want to forget these little baby hands and feet.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I was so happy to get a post together for this Scavenger Hunt Sunday. It has been so long since I have been able to participate.  On top of being extremely busy, I have had very awful morning sickness....all day. It's finally starting to subside and I feel like I can function again.

1. Yellow

Photobucket

Yes this picture is a stretch, but there is some yellow in there! We couldn't be happier. Our new little one is due to arrive late Oct/Nov 2012.

2. Something that makes you smile

Photobucket

My daughter had a "Jelly Bean" party this weekend. She had so much fun. One of their activities was a silly string fight. Love this picture!

3. Ancient/Antique

Photobucket

I knew exactly what picture I was going to take for this prompt. The house we moved into a couple months ago is located in a historic district in AZ. I love this house and isn't this mailbox so cute!?!

4. Splash

Photobucket

A place Parker spends a lot of his afternoons.

5. In the sun

Photobucket

A couple blocks from our house is this gorgeous rose garden. Right now it is in full bloom and is stunning in the afternoon sun.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

1. Portrait
Photobucket

Believe it or not, I found a great place to take pictures with good lighting. The folding counter in our condo's community laundry building...LOL! Great thing about this spot is that it is so interesting for Parker, he will sit and take a few pictures for me. Our condo is on the bottom floor, and while they are wonderful in the summer, we have huge shade trees that pretty much cover our windows. Sometimes Parker's room catches some good light, but it's usually at a real inopportune time.

2. Nostalgic

Photobucket

My daughter's first Christmas ornament, I bought this just after she was born.

3. Time

Photobucket

You can't pause TIME, but you can take a picture.

4. Full of Light

Photobucket

Big Christmas tree at Desert Ridge, it was so tall I couldn't get the whole tree in the picture.

5. Motion

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I have missed participating in Scavenger Hunt Sunday! I'm happy that I had some extra time to join in this week.

1. Give Me Flowers

Photobucket

This is what is left of the rose I received on Mother's Day. It's pretty much dead, but I keep it around because my kitty loves to eat flower petals when they become crunchy. I was having fun playing around with this window that is in our bathroom, and with the lighting that was coming through.

2. Visual Contrast

Photobucket

I usually don't take photos during this time of the day in Parker's room, normally the shadows are very distracting. Parker was being so funny when he saw his shadow, I couldn't resist taking some photos.

3. Friendship

Photobucket

I actually took this photo around Easter, but it was so cute and this photo came to mind immediately when I saw the prompt. I also used the picture in my new blog banner. It is amazing how much these two love each other.

4. Before and After

Photobucket

I was asked to sew up some newborn diapers this past week. I had no idea what I could use for this prompt, so I used a couple of the photos I took of this newborn order I completed.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday- Daytrip to Tucson

I'm so behind on posting on my blog, but one thing I love to do every week no matter what is Scavenger Hunt Sunday...yeah yeah I know it's Monday...again, and the 3rd week in a row I'm late to post this.

I didn't have anytime to edit these too much, but I would never post if I did that. So these are raw photos :)

1. Vanishing Point
Photobucket

We spent this past Saturday in Tucson and decided to go visit the San Xavier Mission. It is such a beautiful place to take photographs. Here Parker is sitting in one of the pews.

2. Square Crop

3. Under
Photobucket
Photobucket

During our Tucson day trip we hiked part of Picacho Peak, nearby was an Ostrich farm with the monster truck. Here is Parker sitting in the hub of one of the monster truck wheels. I actually woke up Parker so he would take pictures. I know, never wake a sleeping baby...except to take a photo you may never have a chance to take again!( I added a second picture so you could get an idea of the size of the truck compared to Parker, can you find him?)

4. "Welcome to the Jungle"
Photobucket
Parker trying on his new bunny hat and diaper cover we received in the mail today. We will be using this for his Easter pictures. I'm so addicted to these hats!

5. Calm

Photobucket

I love this photo, it looks like Parker is praying.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday (63-66/365)

One thing I don't like about busy weekends is...they go by way too fast. My Aunt and Uncle were visiting us from California. We hadn't seen them in quite awhile, so it was wonderful to see them. Unfortunately, I didn't get to post all weekend and I know I'm already behind.

Here are my interpretations this week.

1. Diptych
Photobucket

I had no idea what this was, so I had to "Google" the meaning. I hope I got it right. This is Picasso playing with one of his favorite toys.

2. Book
Photobucket
I didn't have a chance to take a new photo for this prompt. I took this one a few weeks ago.

3. Fill in the blank
Photobucket

When I think about how my camera is in the bag I left at home, I just have to kick myself when a beautiful photo opportunity comes along!

I borrowed my dads camera, but it's just not the same.

4. A Taste of Italy
Photobucket
I've got nothing for this one, but I thought this photo was funny. I went to some garage sales this weekend and we saw these medieval gauntlets and I HAD to take a picture with my daughter wearing them. They were actually quite heavy.

5. Reminder
Photobucket
I have a lot of sewing to do. These are all the fabrics for the different things I have to sew this week.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday (58,59/365)

This past weekend was one of the busiest weekends I have had since Parker was born. I had so much fun with our good friends, celebrating birthday's and making new friendships. By Sunday evening however, I was exhausted. The evenings are when I usually have the time to work on my blog, but I couldn't muster up the energy to edit the photos I was using.

Although a little late, here are my interpretations for this week's SHS items.

1. Capture the Sky

Photobucket
We had a great rain storm come through on Saturday evening and it made the Sunday morning sky so beautiful. I was waiting with the kids in the car while my hubby was in the store. I looked out the window and realized that this would make a stunning photo.

2. Everyday
Photobucket
I'm so blessed to be able to wake up everyday and see his gorgeous smile. I'm so thankful that I'm able to stay home with Parker. I don't want to miss a minute of him growing up.

3. Furry

Photobucket
Here is Picasso laying in one of his favorite spots. He will spend the afternoon laying on our shoes, licking the bottoms of them.

4. Life

Photobucket
I had taken a completely different picture for this item on Sunday. This morning, I was sitting with Parker and he kept grabbing my hand and holding it. I was thinking how I created this little life, this little amazing person. Isn't life beautiful?

5. Blurred
Photobucket

I took this photo earlier in the week when I was playing around with different settings on my camera. I almost deleted it but in the end I decided not too and I'm glad I kept it. I think it's a interesting, slightly creepy interpretation of "blurred."

Photobucket
My hubby's favorite midnight snack!

2. Numbers

Photobucket
My hubby's favorite type of books to read, Manga.

3. Canned Food
